5/30/2013 - Mark this date on your calendar for the 4th Annual Balloon Memorial. Each year since Lauren's passing, we have been releasing 200 illuminated balloons just as it becomes dark outside, to assimilate fireflies. Click here to view a video of last year's ascention. We invite everyone to join us! If you cannot attend but would like to send a message to Lauren or to a lost loved one, please email us your message, or Inbox me on Facebook and I will be happy to write it on a balloon and release it on your behalf.

10/10/2012 - Partnership with AVON. We have partnered with AVON to raise money to build Lauren's Place. Teila "Sissy" Roberts is our AVON representative and she graciously set up a fundraising page on her website for folks to purchase AVON products online. So anyone, from anywhere can enjoy AVON's high quality products and also help raise money for our cause. 20% - 40% of the proceeds will be donated to the Foundation. The precentage varies because it's based on items purchased, but it's very generous, and we appreciate everyone's support. 8/27/2012 - Shooting at Perry Hall High School.
The Lauren Edgerton Foundation would like to extend well wishes to Daniel and his family and pray for Daniel's a speedy and full recovery. We would also like to thank Mr. Wasmer for his selfless act and quick reaction towards the shooter at Perry Hall High School today. Undoubtedly his actions helped save many lives.
What happened at Perry Hall High School today is a tradegy that reflects the state of the world we live in. This is a very sad realization, and what is even sadder, is that our children may view this event as something normal and not unheard of, something that happens so often in their generation. Our kids aren't as safe as we were when we were their age, not by a long-shot! Lauren realized this, which is why she wanted so badly to open a center that would help keep her peers safe, and help them become and remain productive individuals. She definitely was wiser beyond her years! Lauren's Place is soooo important, we MUST make it a reality, for everyone's sake!

7/10/2012 - The Fireworks Tent experience is over. It was a real learning experience for us, definitely learned alot about fireworks! What resinated most with me was the love and support we received from old friends, and new friends during these crazy days. Without the help of everyone involved, we would not have been able to run the tent. A special shout out to the Walker family whose daughter Beth plays for the 12U Lakeshore Lightning softball team who loaned us the generetor we so desperately needed! The coaches, parents, and players of both Lakeshore teams 12U and 18U stepped up soo much, it was humbling. Lauren played on the 18U team and back then it felt like a family, but for these people to come out to support the Foundation and to help us raise money to build Lauren's Place reiterated what a family we are still a part of, even now...I cannot thank everyone enough for their generosity! ♥.
So many other people helped with the tent in one way or another as well! I want to thank all of the Foundation's Board Members (Jill, Julie, Krissy, Patty and Ronnie) for helping me gather the operating supplies we needed for the tent and working the tent. My son Robert, what can I say? He was sooo great coming out with me everyday for those 10 hour days in the 100 deg weather and doing such a great job selling fireworks, and helping me keep the inventory straight. I would like to thank Bethany and Elise for coming to help with the tent in the crazy heat as well! I want to thank Dick from Mattress Warehouse at Arundel Mills for being my extra set of eyes when I wasn't there and keeping me updated with the status of getting a new tent put up after the storm took the first one, really nice guy! Sooo much help from soo many people! Fantastic!

6/22/2012 -The Fireworks tent will be open for business on Monday, June 25th. Location: across the street from Arundel Mills mall in the parking lot where Staples is. It's a bit of a hike, but please try to make it out. We are doing this to raise money for Lauren's Place. You can print out coupons from the TNT website www.tntfireworks.com, and don't forget they just opened up that Casino at the Mall. So all that could make for an interesting run out to Hanover. Your support will be greatly appreciated!

Tickets are $5/ea or $20/5...there will be 10 great prizes, items that anyone can use to make life a little easier in this economy (see below). We will be selling tickets in front of Giant-Putty Hill Plaza on Saturdays and Sundays beginnng April 28th. We will also sell them at Extra Innings, and in front of the Dollar Tree, Putty Hill Plaza.
